Dear Neighbors, I've seen several posts about summer camp registration. I'd like to recommend the camp my daughter attended, Singing Eagle Lodge.
SEL is a two-week overnight camp for girls on Squam Lake in Hodlerness, NH. This summer, it will be from August 11 to the 24th. It's a traditional New England summer camp for girls ages 8 to 16. Think camp songs, cook-outs, swimming, sailing, hiking, exploring, show night... all the things. Though some girls begin attending at age 8, our daughter didn't attend until she was older (I think she was 12?) and went by herself (she knew some older girls from Lincoln, but nobody in her age group). She made friends fast, and the friends she made are life-long - they're all in college now, and get together during breaks and over the summer. She attended for several years, was a Counselor in Training, a Junior Counselor, and is now a counselor (she runs the CIT program), and is a lifeguard on the waterfront. SEL is her home-away-from-home. We originally heard about SEL from other Lincoln families. I'm not sure if they're on LincolnTalk, but they'd all agree - it's a wonderful camp! https://www.singingeaglelodge.org/ If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me (email is in the header above).
