I certainly agree with both Lynn and Garrick. We talk about "affordable" housing in Lincoln, but constantly going over budget for projects, and increasing taxes as a result, mean that not only is housing not initially affordable, but anyone buying here who is not uber wealthy cannot afford to pay their tax bills, let alone rapidly rising utilities, so they cannot afford to remain here. We have houses near us sitting unsold now because of all of these reasons. We don't have a lack of houses, we have a lack of houses that people can afford. You do not address this issue with constantly rising taxes because of a lack of financial prudence. If we ran our household budgets like this we would quickly become homeless. Frank O.
