Would you like a rooster to help protect your chickens from hawks? I
have several Bruges Fighter cockerels available -- 12 wks old, beautiful
black, alert, fierce-looking but friendly, very large (10-12 lbs and up
to 30 inches tall as adults). For more details on the breed,
see*https://greenfirefarms.com/bruges_fighter.html *which says:"While
Bruge Fighters are bred for combat with other chickens, we have found
they quickly adapt and seem to enjoy handling by humans. Their
confidence allows them to be easily tamed with no need to display
aggression toward their keepers. The roosters do a very good job of
protecting the flock. If you have problems with hawks or owls, having a
Bruges Fighter in your flock is a good idea. The roosters normally stay
on high alert and are apt at defending the hens." If interested (or if
you'd just like to see what they look like), please contact me at
[email protected].
