Regarding 4th of July Fireworks... As a former Parks and Rec commissioner, I can say - during the school building project, we couldn't have fireworks because the campus was too busy with temporary learning pods and building materials. That was during my time on the PRC.
Having rolled off that board, I can only assume that last year would have been the first year they were possible, and we were in drought - several towns either never scheduled or cancelled fireworks due to extreme fire danger. Since these have to be planned almost a year in advance, and we were still in drought until about a month ago, perhaps that's why we don't have any this year? Any current PRCs want to chime in and correct me? Yours, Margit
