Info on the question of smart meters and radiation:

https://www.cancer.org/cancer/risk-prevention/radiation-exposure/smart-meters.html

Given that we are reading this via the internet, it is a somewhat ironic
position. A smart meter emits radio frequency 1% of the time, according to the
article above. The alternative to smart meters is for a service person to drive
from residence to residence.
