My mother also had a beautiful set of Royal Copenhagen. Not much interest in
them so we sent her favorite pieces to assisted living with her and my brother
uses the rest.

Sadly, many of the things our elders valued are not as highly desirable to the
younger generation.

You might see what Replacements.com would offer you. Scroll down to the bottom
of the page and click on the "Sell to Us" link. That takes you to a form where
you can describe what you have and send in to get a price. You'll probably get
less than if you went through an online auction, but it can be less hassle.
(Disclosure: I've never sold to them, but I have purchased from them.)

Hi all

Hope everyone had a nice holiday

This is a long shot question but ---my elderly mother has a Danish Royal
Copenhagen compote (footed bowl) that she wants to sell

I asked a very fine antique store (The Farm; Wells Maine) and the owner said
"to give it to family" as these items aren't very saleable in her store.

I see these items on ebay and they don't appear to be selling rapidly there
either.

Has anyone dealt with on-line auctions?

My mother has more items like this at home and she is shocked (!) no one is
interested.

Thanks for any help
