Sadly, many of the things our elders valued are not as highly desirable to the younger generation. You might see what Replacements.com would offer you. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "Sell to Us" link. That takes you to a form where you can describe what you have and send in to get a price. You'll probably get less than if you went through an online auction, but it can be less hassle. (Disclosure: I've never sold to them, but I have purchased from them.)
