Hi, Ruth Ann. I used to go to Revels regularly and always enjoyed it. (I was even in the show once as a member of a singing/dance group!) I believe that the theme this year is "Scandinavian," although they incorporate some of the same "old favorites" every year, e.g. English Morris dancing, a mummer's play, sing-along carols with the audience, and a "dance-along" where everyone forms a long undulating line and dances out into the lobby while singing the chorus to "Lord of the Dance." This latter is an amazing experience. I assume that they still do all this -- I haven't been for a number of years. If your grandsons like traditional music and "folksy" acting and dancing, I'm sure they'd like the show. If they're into rock 'n' roll, maybe not. It is definitely a show for all ages, on-stage and off. But be prepared for crowds (in case anyone is claustrophobic).
I'd be interested to hear what others on LT think.
