it doesn't happen with all movies that contain 3D , just the ones I make.
That's good to know. Here are some more ways to quickly isolate the problem:
-- "some or all files?" Try taking one of the sample Shockwave 3D files, compiling it, and putting it on your server. If this does not fail then this would indicate a content difference, but if even known-to-be-good sample files fail this would indicate taking a closer look at configuration differences.
-- "some or all servers?" If you have access to multiple servers, then checking any still-suspect files in another environment can help. If the problem goes away the next step would be to look more closely at the original server... if the problem persists then you've eliminated rare causes such as inaccurate MIME types or transfer problems.
-- "some or all browsers?" I don't remember if this was controlled for in previous descriptions, but if these files only fail in one browser, and work normally in others, then that provides an important clue about the root of the problem.
All of these involve changing one part of the problem at a time to see if the symptom changes -- "poking at the problem", in the words of some of the earliest tech support experts. This approach is the fastest way I've seen to investigate a root cause.
