Hi everyone, DOUG <http://www.director-online.com/> now has a new resource for learning about Director and sharing your knowledge with other developers:
<http://www.director-online.com/dougwiki/> In case you have not encountered a Wiki before, this is a web site where any visitor can edit the contents. This is ideal for a collaborative project, such as creating the definitive documentation for Director. You can browse the Wiki anonymously, but you need to create an account in order to be able to edit pages and to create new ones. <http://www.director-online.com/dougwiki/index.php/Special:Userlogin> For the moment, the Wiki is at a very early stage. Some sections have been treated in depth, others not at all. You can help develop the content in two different ways: * If you have specialist knowledge in an area which is not yet covered, or you want to correct or enlarge on the information that is already available, you can add your insights to the appropriate pages and add new pages. * If there is a topic which you would like to learn more about, you can create a link to the topic on the most appropriate page, then select to watch that page to see if anyone else will provide the material you are looking for. You can find a comprehensive description of Wikis in general, and how to interact with them at: <http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_User's_Guide> Special thanks to the following for their early participation and contributions in the DougWiki: Andrew Phelps Andrew Sinning Barry Swan Ben "robotduck" Buzz Kettles Chuck Neal Cole Tierney Colin Holgate Darrel Plant Dean Utian Gary Rosenzweig George Langley Kerry Thompson Lewis Francis Lon Koenig Pim van Bochoven Rob Romanek Robert Tweed Thomas Higgins Thomas Veil toxi Troy Rollins Enjoy!
