Then that would seem to indicate that it's not a problem with setting the file name but rather with the media, no? Have you made test cases at all that use the crashing files to begin with (so you wouldn't need to set the file name) in order to determine if the QT files themselves are causing the crash or if it's really about setting the fileName property?
