Hey Tim,

On the windows resource kit there is a tool to run any .exe as a
service. But can't remember what it's called, at this moment. Make sure
you read about user rights and permisions, being that this will be
running 24/7 you don't want any unwanted attacks, that's only if this is
on the network.

Curious what kind of service are you thinking of running with director.

Subject: <lingo-l> DMX Projector running as a windows service

Hi List,

Does anyone have any thoughts \ tips \ tricks or warnings for running
projectors as a service on windows xp/2k/2k3 machines, especially in
regards to things like running kiosk applications that run 24/7?
And whether it's possible to restart the app if there is an error etc?

Many Thanks

Tim
