Oh...there's also hardware things designed just for this purpose
that'll do the same thing, btw.
So if your projector quits writing a timestamp, then this external
thingy reboots the machine.
at this point, you should be seriously looking into the kiosk world
for information, answers, products, and not restricting yourself to
the Director world.
