I wonder if one could protect a project by simply omitting external scripts. The only down side I can think of is not having other assets protected.

Has anyone ever tried or considered this?

To what end? Protect from whom? Why not just make a dxr or dcr?

Just to save a step. If I don't mind users having access to my none code assets, then I simply do not include the lingo files when delivering the final product.
