The setPref() / getPref() commands cause a folder to be created in the same folder as the application. But what if it's running of a CD ROM? It can't create the text file on the CD. Is there a way to get setPrefs to write to a specific location?

I find that it saves in to the OS user folders on both win/mac, but this may only be because I use shockwave projectors.

For example a project I did created a folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Director MX 2004/ on the Mac. I can't remember where it saves under windows at the moment but it does something similar in their documents & settings folder.
