Hi everybody
I am implementing a virtual character in Shockwave.
At the moment I have a head which is animated using morph targets (all
done in code)
and I have the rest of the body which is all Bones (an imported W3D
file)
Hi. Check Lingo Scripted Morph. There´s also a bones version (not
online, I´d have to mail it to you) that works great. I used it in a
project and worked great.

Now what I am wondering is can I import the W3D model to get all the
body/bones I need and
thn can I add more models to that same scene with lingo?
Ie I will import my boned body at author time and then add the head and
facial expressions with raw lingo code at runtime.
1. Does anybody know if this is possible?
You mean cloning? Take a look at cloneModelFromCastMember()
2. I think you need to import W3D files to use the bone modifier and
that you cant do it all in lingo yourself, is that true also?
Hhmm..Partly. There´s also (undocumented) pragma bones, which can be
done by programming. I also have a robot arm demo using this technique:

Good luck!
