Hi Tim,

This is simple to test.  You can create a basic animation with a tweened
Shape sprite, with a framerate of (say) 5 frames per second, and save it as
LDM.dir.  You can then import this as a Linked External Member into a new
movie, and set the framerate of the new movie to (say) 999 fps.

You will then see that the LDM animates much faster than its own frame rate
indicates.  So the answer is:

A: An LDM runs at the framerate of the movie it is placed in

The easiest way to access the same members would be to place them in a
shared external cast.
