Well, it seems they already have an investment in an LMS. LMS costs vary
from $20,000 US to half a million. Serious stuff.
I think it remains to be seen if it aint worth bothering with. Many very
large companies have already adopted it. GM, Toyota, Audi, US Govt,
NATO, R.O.C. and on. If SCORM ends up being succesful it will be
because the big boys, with the big budgets adopted it and it is forced "
down. But it isnt likely to be succesful because small shops insist that
it is the wave of the future and they are banging down the doors to use
it.
I think plenty of people are in a "wait and see but we'd better at least
understand it mode". Look at the latest releases of Flash, Captive and
Breeze. They all have a level of support for SCORM built in. A toe in
the water. If SCORM succeeds many will reluctantly join kicking and
screaming.
If your clients content is just press play and watch, then you are only
talking about making two calls to the LMS. "Initiate" and "Terminate".
That alone is enough to make it SCORM conformant.

| Thanks for the input so far, but PLEASE don't tell me to

| My client is seriously stuck in the early 90s in regards

| Any other views?
