HI Tom, Thanks so much for this update! It's good to hear that it is on the list of things to be adressed at all, can't remember hearing that before in such a firm way.
Can Adobe give an idea of when the next release might happen that just might contain Unicode support? I know it's difficult to say, but e.g. this could mean the difference between starting a huge project converting either a complete project to Flash, or just the text input files (which is in itself hardly any less effort). By huge I mean about 6 months worth of work. Are we talking weeks, month, end of year, early next years, summer 2007? Or are any timings still undecided! Thanks, Tom! Well, very similar to Macromedia, Adobe doesn't allow "firm commitment" to release features this far ahead of the next major release so I cannot say yes/no for sure on any specific feature. What I can tell you is that Unicode support (along with general text improvements) are about as high on my list as you can get (ok, they sit there right next to thoughts of a 3D update, UB Mac and Windows Vista support). My main goal when thinking about future releases is about solidifying the product that's there today and not chasing swanky new media types, a huge part of that is becoming a current, modern application with Unicode support. > Has anyone ever attempted a director community petition?
