You were right.
I managed to do the updates by sorting and resorting the various
internal and external castlibs prior to updating.
I'm glad it wasn't d4 or 5 :)

I am updating some ye olde d6.5 files - don't ask - and having dug up
and re-installed d7, d8 and dmx, d7 is freaking out on some large
graphics.
It's a long shot but does anyone have a copy of the 7.0.2 updater
lying around?
