Hi James,
First off you will need an xtra to convert the Director member to a jpeg
file. To do that you can use DirectImage Xtra (see www.directxtras.com).
Now to send the image I see to possibilities:
1- use Multiuser: the client sends the pict in Director format then you have
to have a projector on your server that receives the image the use
DirectImage Xtra to convert it to a jpeg file
2- Use DirectImage Xtra on the client to convert the image, then send it
using DirectFTP Xtra (from the same guys) to your server (will require an
ftp server on your server).
I recommend the second option because:
- Smaller size of data transferred: a jpeg is smaller than the internal
Director image format
- You don't have to rely on a Director projector on the server
- FTP protocol will be faster and safer than MUS.
Regards,
Laurent
PS: DirectXtras guys: I posted few messages in the past recommending your
xtras - you should reward me ;)....
