It seems to me a while back there was a thread on one of the lists about random number algorithms changing (fortunately rarely) between certain versions of...was it Director or the OS? I can't remember. I'll have to check the archives. Obviously it could really screw this up if different flavors of Windoze or Macattack produced a different pseudo-random sequence from the same seed!
