Greetings-

Mac and PCs are much more alike than different, as are all systems
with the WIMP (Windows/Icons/Mouse/Pointer) graphical user interface.
But SGI IRIX also has a WIMP GUI!

My question is- after all this time, why is there still no Shockwave
player for UNIX systems? When I was working on these boxes 4 years
ago, I thought it was a shame that much of the richness of websites
that used Director Shockwave could not be shared with the academic
and research folks on their workstations. Only Windows and Mac
plug-ins existed.

Recently, I checked again: there are Flash plugins, but not Shockwave ones!!

Have UNIX people been written off as too small a market segment or is
it just too hard to implement?
