Incorrect assumption Warren, whether or not the MUS is on OSX just doesn't matter.
Please understand my suggestion: use the Multiuser Xtra (notice how I don't say the
"server") to establish peer-to-peer connections between the two movie files. I very
carefully and explicitly stated the following:

"This doesn't require the server in any way, all communication stays local between the
DCRs running on the client's machine."

This technique works for files running on a computer that has no internet connection
whatsoever. Using the MU Xtra you can query the machine's IP number (it's encoded) and
then have your "stage" or "main" movie act as a peer host at that IP number. The
"miaw" movie also queries the machine's local IP number and attempts to connect to a
peer host movie at that IP number. Guess what? The local "miaw" will successfully
connect to the peer host movie without ever needing a server out there! SHAZAAM!

The Xtra is ported and available for OSX already, just use it baby...

Cheerio,
Tom
