No, actually, I misspoke. I was thinking of the stage size setting in
the options. Of course, that has nothing to do with the monitor
resolution. Not enough caffeine.

That's it exactly--I need a minimum of 16-bit color. I'm doing that on
Windows--if it's 16-bit or better, I leave it alone. I can check the
environment for that.

I agree, but it's a Japanese anime game, and the customer feels that the
graphics wouldn't look good smaller (higher resolution). I've fought for
enough things on this project--I don't feel like going to battle again
^_^
