No, the quad remains the same, but the source rectangle changes relative to
the position of the moving object. Both the object is moving relative to the
stage boundaries and the part of the map that is distorted into the quad is
changing.

I need to know the exact point on the map where the moving object on the
stage would be on the original map. (On the map there are 10 "target" that
have to be hit).

If no one comes up with a better solution I will color-code the targets and
perform a getPixel under the moving object, thus I know over which target
the object is. The disadvantage of this is that the way the targets are
designed is somewhat limited.

I knew what you were asking. There are various ways to solve the
problem, but I have some questions first. Are you changing the quad
that you copy to? Do you only need to know what country is being
clicked on?
