Yes, the size is the problem. A P-300 is really too slow to decode the an Mpeg file that big. It will drop a lot of your 30 fps--I'd guess you're getting maybe 3-5 fps. Is there a way you can re compress it to a smaller size--say, half size, and play it back doubled? Actually, Sorensen would work best for scaling a video like that.
