Hi Kerry,

Have you found it necessary to protect/compress the Director movie files
with Japanese Director as well? I looked at the files in a binary editor
and they seem to have different headers, but I'm not sure there's any
other differences. 

I usually protect/compress with Japanese Director, but I have often
wondered if it was necessary, since I have to boot into Chinese to do
it.
