Sure, all you have to do is on movie start check if there's a preference file (look at getpref/setpref in the manual).
What you should do is check if there's a preference file named whatever you want. If there isn't that tells the program that it's the first time it's been run. Create a preference file wiht the name you want and in it put in the date. Then every time after that, the checking for the pref file will return true...you'll get the contents of that pref file wiht the written date. Then, using the date object (look in the manual) you'll just make sure the time is less than the amount of days you want. If not, quit.
