The only part you didn't share was that you are bundling Flash into your new projector - the rest of it I understood fine. How does it "not play" them? Do you get "red x's", or ? I'm not a Flash expert, but if it can't load the Xtra for some reason (either you didn't bundle it, it was the wrong Xtra, or whatever) then you would get that sort of behavior.
