Well, there's another way to do it - you don't necessarily need to use
fileXtra3's FileGetType method.
Since your images seem to all be JPEGs that actually end with ".jpg",
you can check for that extension before adding them into the list:
as before ...
on getImageList
gImageList = []
repeat with i = 1 to 255
filename = getNthFileNameinFolder(gImageFolder,i)
if filename = "" then exit repeat
c = filename.char.count
if filename.char[c-3..c] = ".jpg" then add gImageList, filename
end repeat
end
