I apologize if the message we had sent was not that clear but only most of our products are supported on Mac OS X.No worries. I've spent too much time working with the PDF format and Adobe's piss-poor implementation of all things PDF to be surprised when something doesn't work for it. I try not to blame us developers when it comes to any form of Acrobat, especially in any cross-platform sense.
Unfortunately, there is currently no solution that is available from Adobe to allow PDF Xtra to be embedded into a Director movie in Mac OS X.It does strike me as odd, since the 2D rendering engine in Quartz is supposedly based entirely on PDF, not that it helps you any, but it seems like it should work.
Of all the Xtras out there I think the PDF Xtra is the one I would most like to see Macromedia buy and incorporate into Director. Just because it is such a large undertaking I think it would benefit from having the support of a big company like Macromedia who could get more help from (potentially) Apple and (less likely) Adobe.
keep fighting the good fight,
kyle
