Look into Stitcher by RealViz. It allows very simple authoring of panorama scenes that 
export to either QTVR or to W3D for use in Director/Shockwave (and then some, there is 
more to it than just that). I know they have two products, Stitcher and Stitcher EZ, 
and the full Stitcher exports to both formats but I'm not sure about the EZ version. I 
believe the price for the full stitcher is somewhere around $400 USD. I'm not sure how 
often you'd use this or how acceptable that kind of price is but I thought I'd at 
least throw it out there.
