Hi Buzz
yes ther are 3 Mac and 3Win32 Xtras (QT6Asset.x32, QTAuth.x32, QTExport.x32) in the Xtras Folder on the CD:
note: you don't need to include QTAuth.x32, QTExport.x32 (or their mac versions) in the projector's Xtras folder - these Xtras can only be used within Director Authoring.
On the Mac there is no Problem. For Win it is the same "error" with insalled or not installed QuickTime
then it sounds like either a Windows 'permissions' issue or a problem with the projector libs (IML, projector skeleton etc.). Is it a regular projector? (not a Shockwave-projector)
What flavor of Windows are you using?
Do you have admin rights?
& you are using Director 8.5, correct?

That function lives in the QT Xtra. Did you include this Xtra within your projector?

If i create a Projector with ask the quicktime version with 'quickTimeVersion()' on the start of the movie (with 'enterFrame').
And then I start the projector - the projector want always to install the schockWavePlayer 8.5 ??? or I get the message that it can not found some components.
Without this script ('enterFrame') it works well!
I hope someone knows more about this case.
