Yes, I can see where it could possibly make things simpler, but it is obviously not the only way to "skin the cat". Director developers have ALWAYS worked within this limitation. You must be doing something pretty remarkable that having multiple versions of those scripts getting triggered is imperative.
How exactly do you intend to dictate the order in which they are fired?
My point is - you probably just need to re-think the issue. There is almost assuredly an alternate approach which is actually better... and that would actually work, where that one, won't. At least not reliably.
