But doesn't this mean that a remote (client) would intiate a process that
results in writing to a server? Otherwise why call it a server?

I have never tried to use Director like this (that is why I put the must? in
parans). Other than the MUServer (which is not Director but a server-side
app that Director can send and recieve data with) how would you propose to
use director without a gui? And how would it be used as an EXE on a server.
I hope I am not coming off as rude, because I am truly curious.
