interestingy stuff, you are certainly getting your money's worth from
Director :)

but how do you not use the stage? do you set the rect to (0,0,0,0)?  Do you
use the stage and so it stays on while the process is run and then closes
itself?

If  either are the case, I assume you have alot of error handling in case an
exception pops up that requires a human click.
