best), then convert it to .mp2 for DVD.

Yes, you need software.  Daikin Scenarist is the favorite around here.
Astarte made a DVD-authoring tool for Director called DVDExport Xtra awhile
back, but Apple owns it now.  VLDigital also makes DVD-playback tools for
Director.
