>So much so that it's suspicious.

Well, when Colin says something like that, I go back and check my code.
He's right too often to ignore.

Check them out now at
http://www.lobo.net/~bryantek/BounceTest/Bounce2Time.htm and
http://www.lobo.net/~bryantek/BounceTest/Bounce2Frame.htm. You will see
that there is now little difference in performance.

Colin, you were right about something being fishy, but it wasn't the
fps--it's actually 60 fps.

In the 1 fps movie with the timer, I needed an updateStage command. I
inadvertently left that in when I changed it to an exitFrame handler. I
don't need to tell you guys that 60 updateStage calls per second can bog a
program down.

I don't have a secure site to post the source to today--I'll have to wait
until I get into the office tomorrow. The URLs above are borrowed space on
my brother's Web site.

I'll be glad to e-mail the source files to anybody who asks, too. I make it
a practice not to send out attachments, though, unless somebody requests
them (a courtesy to you :-)

I'll also follow this up with a couple more postings of the code, too.
They're short.

Cordially,
Kerry Thompson
