I've had this sort of problem with PDF and acrobat.
1. first try putting the PDF next to the dir film that is opening it. If it
then works there....
2. put the pdf in the pdf folder. If it then works there....
then there is a problem with the path you are sending to acrobat.
look at the searchpaths in the lingo dictionary, that solved my problem.
