Hi Sam,

i've no experience with shockwave (except for as a user), more's the pity,
but based on my experience with director.ini files (and projectors), here's
a few thoughts... maybe sbd else can further enlighten you (us!).

are you testing under windows? cos none of this applies to Mac

the _director.ini_ has to be renamed to match the projector name, it must
also be in the same folder as the projector... so double check you've got it
in the right place with the right name (shockwave.ini). is this info you've
already got actually correct? seems feasable, but check anyway.

As a test, create a projector. Can you reproduce the error dialog? If so,
copy your shockwave.ini settings into a new file and call it projector.ini
(or whatever your proj is called). Now run the projector again. If you've
done things correctly (in the ini file) you should see your verbose error
dialog.

If you don't then try adding MessageWindow=1 under [Settings] and run your
projector again. Do u at least get the message window?

No: then you're doing something fundamentally wrong ;-o

Yes: then, erm, i can't really help any more, but it's a start... if you
can get a msg window out of the projector but not out of shockwave then you
know that either your info is wrong or you've misunderstood.

have fun, good luck!
