FileIO will do exactly what You want. There is a complete fileIO manual on Macromedias
website.
Basically You open a file, read its contents into a variable and dipsplay various
parts of the variable in the fields or text members of Your choice.
Keywords to look for in the Lingo help system are text, fields, chunks, itemDelimiter
In the fileIO docs look for new(), open(), readFile(), close()
Good Luck
