Hi Irv
Whenever a text member gains focus and is set to editable, it automatically
blows away the background transparent ink. I remember my disbelief when I
first ran into this several months back trying to help someone else out. The
only logical suggestion that I can make is to figure out a way to use shapes
to create the highlight effect, a lot more work but it gets rid of the
background transparent problem. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.. for
what its worth, I too consider it a bug.
