hi friends,
i have a problem...
i am using the getpref command in one of my
presentation to get an external .txt file in
my field.it works fine. but when written on a cd it
gives a script error though my .txt file is in the
prefs folder and this folder is at the same directory
level as my exe file.
it only dosnt works when burnt on a cd but when i copy
the entire presentation on a hard disk it works fine
...
is it because i have this prefs folder along with my
txt file on a write protected media(cd rom). but the
logic is that i am only reading the information from
this txt file by using
getpref command i am not using setpref command to
overwrite it.
so what can be the problem? is this a wrong way .what
is my best alternative to read an external txt file
from a write protect media like cdrom and open it
inside a field in my presentation.
