When setPref is run from a CD-ROM, it creates the files in the system's 
Temp folder. I suspect getPref is wired to do the same. Your best 
alternative will likely be fileIO, but you might try setting the fileName 
of a text member to the file. Even though text files are always fully 
embedded, this actually seems to work.
