Oops, missed that! That's indeed exactly what I wanted. I was using scrollTop to measure the current scroll, but didn't realize you can set it, too. Problem solved, thanks! S.

Ramesh said scrolltop, not scrollbyline, so it  is a different way than the one you are trying.
