Yes, D8 is the problem.
It has very fragile sound playback.
In my mind one of the single largest deficiencies of D8.
You need to take extreme care to not hog the processor for any amount of time.
maybe you need another sound-playback-mechanism.
Back in the D6.5 days I used something called MultiMixer, which plays
through QuickTime.
Does anybody know a good and uptodate xtra with solid sound playback?
