You're right, I missed that point in the question. No, I don't know the
cure. I'm aware of the current discussion on Direct-L, but I haven't been
following it very closely. My general impression in skimming over the topic
is that they haven't come to a resolution, yet. As a participant in that
discussion, you're probably more qualified than I am to report the consensus.
I remember that Buddy API's baOpenURL() was one of the suggestions. If that
worked for a browser, then it may work with a mailto: address, too.
