Me again. More useful this time. You could put the graphics as a
second video track in the QuickTime movie. Set its graphics mode so
that the part of the motion video you want to see shows through the
hole. Then in Director you can still leave it directtostage. It still
won't be ideal performance, but it will have a better chance of
succeeding. It won't be a good solution though if you intend to move
the graphics around while the Director movie is playing.
