Well, I think you can disable the context menu and this should work with d7
too. You don't need the publish settings, adapting the parameters in the
object and embed tag is enough.
The context menue was introduced with d7 shockwave plugin and this was
updated after some argueing about the remote. I was under the impression
that the syntax has not changed since then:
swRemote="swSaveEnabled='false' swVolume='false' swRestart='false'
swPausePlay='false' swFastForward='false' swContextMenu='false' "
