It's easy! I recently did this; I placed a bitmap in Powerpoint then
selected Actions in the animation window. It gave me a menu where I could
browse for an external application. I selected that and navigated to my
Director projector. When you play the slide-show in PowerPoint, the screen
will show a small hand cursor. Click on the object you linked the action
from. It will give you a caution message about a the executable having
macros. Allow the macros and your director file will play. When you exit
from your projector you will be returned to Powerpoint.
